  • I think in a few years you may be disappointed . No matter how much Obama may want to implement an agenda of change, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are far from wanting any change to the status quo.

  • Thanks Tom, I too hope Obama keeps his word on reaching out to conservatives.  I think a lot of his supporters are going to be disappointed down the road when he can not get his change agenda passed even in a democratic controlled senate and house. Reid and Pelosi are not agents of change.

  • What I find truly ironic is all through the campaign democrats were screaming about the mud slinging of the republicans. I have only been on this site for the past month but by a wide margin the mud ,hate and vitriol displayed by dems on this site has been far greater than that of republicans.

  • You still need local registration due to local races, ballot issues etc. We can't have some national system that doesn't take that into account. You dont want voters from one state or county voting in another county

  • There are enormous problems in the Middle East that were going to be a problem no matter who was elected. The Israeli -Palestinian problem is just one and has eluded a solution from presidents for 50 years.

  • the mood of the country and moves to the left and right are things that constantly occur. The move to the left during the Carter administration lead to the move to the right that elected Reagan.This election the country moved to the left.
